Providing a High Quality Food Offer for your Holiday Club
An interactive session covering School Food Standards, and basic food safety and hygiene requirements for HAF providers. The training is essential for all HAF providers wishing to meet the quality standards set out in government guidance. There will be practical advice on meal and menu planning to support HAF groups to offer good quality nutritious meals and snacks as part of their HAF delivery.
Mandatory for new providers.
Understanding Behaviour That May Challenge
The workshop explores how Doorstep Sport can be used as an engagement tool to address social exclusion, anti-social behaviour and community tension and build stronger communities. Participants learn the characteristics of ‘hard to reach’ young people and how to effectively engage with them. They are shown how to recognise the causes and triggers of anti-social behaviour and they explore the development of tools and skills that enable young people to take ownership of their issues and effectively understand behaviour that may challenge.
Youth Work Induction Workshop
This interactive session provides a practical introduction to high-quality youth work, grounded in recognised frameworks and the Youth Work Code of Ethics. The workshop will cover: •What youth work is and isn’t •Key issues facing society today •Safeguarding, professional boundaries and safe practice •Reflective practice and evaluation •Different delivery models and settings Participants will leave with practical tools and approaches they can apply immediately (e.g. icebreakers, session planning, ground rules).

Let's Talk About Food
This is a practical and interactive session that includes theory and practical elements for staff to utilise and consider for delivery of the Hakuna Fruitata enrichment project as part of HAF programmes. Aimed at the community organisation staff and leaders who will be hands-on delivering the sessions to children and young people. The session includes a practical cooking activity that you can replicate in HAF delivery.

Positively Including Young People with Disabilities in Your Youth Setting
This interactive workshop, delivered in partnership with Fairplay, is designed to support learners who work with young people with special educational needs (SEN). Participants will build knowledge, understanding and practical techniques for working effectively with young people with SEN.
Additional training
Level 2 Food Hygiene
It is essential for all holiday club providers to have qualified staff. We recommend a minimum of 2 per site. Level 2 Food Hygiene is designed for anyone who works with, or handles food. It covers an introduction to food safety and hygiene, the impact of food-borne illnesses, food law, food preservation, storage and temperature control, personal hygiene, and the principles of HACCP.

Food Allergy and Intolerance Training
This interactive training has been developed by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to educate businesses about food allergies and how to handle allergens safely.
First Aid Workshops
If your organisation has First Aid training needs, please get in touch. There is potential to fund up to 2 spaces per organisation.
GDPR
During this online course provided by High Speed Training learners will learn about the scope of the legislation and what the GDPR aims to achieve, the main principles of data protection that all organisations must abide by to comply with the law, and understand what rights data subjects have under the GDPR and how to acknowledge these.
The training consists of 3 modules and will take approximately 1 hour to complete, learners will be issued with an electronic certificate of completion. Only 2 codes per organisation are available, which will be sent within 4 days of the request.
